Slavery is Still Among Us

And you thought slavery ended in America in 1865? The progressive liberals have perpetuated it to this very day.

No Better

It's not getting any better....first, Arizona has their illegal immigration law stopped by the courts. Next, the 9th circuit court has denied a speedy appeal for the state and has put it off until November, allowing the Obama administration plenty of time to push through some kind of bogus amnesty. Stand up patriots! Stand up Americans! Looks like someone is bucking for a fight and they need not be disappointed. Go to the polls in November and let us defeat those who would destroy our country.

Conflict?

I read today in Romans 13 where it says, "Let every person be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those that exist have been instituted by God. Therefore whoever resists the authorities resists what God has appointed, and those who resist will incur judgment." I suppose one could argue from this that a Christian has no business being involved with a group like the Tea Party which I joined this week. I do not see a conflict when the Tea Party meetings are informational as we learn about political candidates so we will be able to vote intelligently in the elections. Being able to vote intelligently is being a good citizen, and I believe this honors God.

Tea Party Kind of Guy

Yep...I sure did! Just right up and joined. I am now a real-live Tea Party member. I joined up with the local group online this morning. I was unable to make it to the meeting last night, and I understand it was a good meeting and I plan to be at the next one.

In the times in which we live, I feel it is important for me to get involved in some way and stand up publicly for what I believe concerning the direction in which my country, the United States of America, is heading. The Tea Party stands for principles we have gotten away from in government and I believe that merits my support, whatever it is worth.

I know this might be an unpopular move with some of my friends and acquaintances, but so be it. This is something I believe in strongly and I must do. I hope to share more substantive thoughts on future blogs.

History Lesson: More Truth Revealed

I found an interesting quote from H.G. Wells in an introduction he wrote in Planned Parenthood founder Margaret Sanger's 1922 book, "The Pivot of Civilization":

"We want fewer and better children...and we cannot make the social life and the world-peace we are determined to make, with the ill-bred, ill-trained swarms of inferior citizens that you inflict on us."

I enjoyed reading his books in school, but it turns out (and I did not discover this until recently) Wells, along with Sanger, was just another eugenics-loving progressive!

Quote of the Day

"Liberalism is hideous. It is the antithesis of being pro-human. It looks at life as a burden in and of itself to be managed, rather than as a blessing to be explored and lived to the fullest." --Rush Limbaugh

Tea Party

I just discovered that a group of folks has recently started a Tea Party in my local community. In case no one knows, these are average, every-day people who love their country, believe in the U.S. Constitution, fiscal responsibility, lower taxes and smaller government. Contrary to what the NAACP charges, THIS IS NOT A RACIST ORGANIZATION! Sure there are crazies on the fringe of EVERY group or movement. Racism is not a black or white problem....it is a human problem. Anyway I believe the Tea Party movement is a good thing. 19 people attended the first local meeting and 60 individuals showed up at the second meeting. The third is scheduled for next week and I am seriously considering attending. I believe it's about time to peacefully get involved in the political process.

It Just Gets Better and Better

The NAACP is supporting a proposal to turn Michael Jackson's estate "Neverland" into a state park. Yes...the same organization that earlier this week accused the Tea Party movement as being racist. Wow,turning the former home of a pedophile into a state park in a state that cannot afford to operate its existing parks....what a concept. When it comes to rational thought and intelligent ideas at least the NAACP is consistent....they have none.

Still the Same

Well, the World Cup is over for the next four years......and soccer is still as boring as ever!

Another Economic Problem

In light of the recent LaBron James news I believe professional athletes are paid entirely too much, but owners are stupid enough to pay it and fans are stupid enough to buy tickets...so what are ya gonna do? I understand a pro athlete's career is short-lived, but that still doesn't justify tens of millions of dollars of annual salary. They can be paid well without the overkill. One day it will all hit a saturation point and fans will not be able to afford tickets to games and events. Of course, many of us are already there. I have attended a few pro sporting events through the years but either I was given free tickets, or someone else provided the financial investment. I will sometimes scrape up the money to see a big concert, but not a ball game.

The madness of escalating ticket prices and athlete salaries will never stop until the economic climate brings it crashing down.

More Random Thoughts

Happy Independence Day everybody!! Celebrate the fact that there are still some good things about our country which remain intact. Always acknowledge the founding fathers. Long live the Republic!

Lady Ga Ga?.....should be Loser Gag Gag. Maybe by this time next year, she will be irrelevant even to the oatmeal-brained drones who like her and believe she actually has talent.

Liberalism is mental illness...unless they're just kidding. Just watch one evening of MSNBC and you'll see my point (the term "oatmeal-brained drones" also applies to this context).

I'm sorry....soccer, or football, as the rest of the world calls it, is BORING!

It's not that I'm an old geezer...there really isn't any good new music being made these days (except for a few exceptions) like there was thirty and forty years ago. Just ask a YOUNG music lover who has half a brain...they will agree with me.

I wish musicians would keep their political views to themselves...if they must express it, put it in a song. I understand they are entitled to their opinion, but why do the idiots in the media ask for these opinions as if these artists are experts in fields other than their own?

Where did the term "politically correct" originate? It should be renamed "insanely stupid" or "stupidly insane".

All the previous statements in this post to some degree illustrate the fact that the end of the world, as we know it, is imminent.
